SWMRS is a punk rock band from Oakland, California. Their album Drive North was released just a few weeks ago and they have recently posted multiple shows that they will be performing this year. Be sure to check out the links below if you like what you hear.
Overall it’s a good album, but the tracks that are most memorable for me include Figuring It Out, Palm Trees, D’You Have a Car? and Ruining My Pretending. There’s a lot of fast paced drumming, screaming, and rebellion in these songs. From cursing out all of the places the band hates in LA on the first track, to the screaming breakdown in Palm Trees, the album holds up to being a dope punk rock album. Fun fact: Bille Joe Armstrong’s son, Joseph, is the drummer!
