Beard Jams: Hideaway by Kiesza

Canadian singer-songwriter, Kiesza, has recently released a single called Hideaway, which is off her new upcoming album. This song is influenced by 1990s dance music and has an electro-pop vibe to it. Her vocal range is incredible and extremely pleasant to listen to. I really like the build up in this song. It starts of soft with soothing vocals and then as the verse leads into the chorus it starts to become more loud, upbeat and danceable.

Just when I thought this song couldn’t get any better, I saw that there was a music video for the song. The music video for Hideaway was recorded in just one take and features Kiesza dancing in the streets of Brooklyn with a range of back up dancers throughout the song. Not only is Kiesza an amazing singer-songwriter, but she’s also a beautifully trained ballerina, creates her own artwork, and also writes songs for other artists as well.

Kiesza will be performing with Holy Child on June 13th at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY. Put away your wallets, because this show is for free! You must be twenty one to enter though. I highly recommend going to this amazing show or possibly checking out her tour dates for the summer! Don’t miss a chance to see this super cool artist!
